Youngsters turned their talents to practicing the bazaar arts in a circus masterclass.

Students of Acton Stagecoach School aged between five to 12 put on their circus hats when the Splats, leading UK educational workshop company, came to teach them plate spinning, diablo throwing and peacock feather balancing.

Phoenix Hoare, a student at Stagecoach Acton, said: “The circus class was so much fun. Learning all the skills and tricks was really difficult at first but we all managed to get the hang of it eventually.”

Teresa Ward, Principal of Stagecoach Acton, said: “All our classes this term are based on the circus and we’re having a lot of fun working on circus themed dances, songs, drama and poems.

“The circus workshop has definitely been a highlight.

“One child, Jeremiah, stole the show when he started juggling two scarves. It was very sweet and funny and the whole audience laughed.

“All the parents joined in and started ribbon dancing.”

The workshop took place on February 22.
