A bronze status has been awarded to a four-month-old weight loss group in Hanworth.
The Slimming World group run by Georgina Wallace from Hereford Road in Feltham, opened on October 1, last year, and has been recognised by the national slimming club following her success in supporting 100 people in the area shed unwanted pounds every week.
She bagged the award given to consultants who build a successful group with more than 50 members, and for her exceptional work in helping people reach their dream weight and turn their lives around.
Mrs Wallace said: “I am so delighted to have received the Bronze award on behalf of the Hanworth group.
"I feel passionately about helping people to transform their lives by losing weight in the same way that I did when I lost 7 stone with Slimming World.
"Losing weight made me feel happier and healthier and gave me so much more confidence.
"I became a Consultant because I wanted to share that feeling and help other people to achieve the same success I had myself.
"This award really belongs to the members of Slimming World Hanworth."
Together the group have lost an amazing 104 stone in the past 20 weeks.
The group recently ran its first couple of the year awards ceremony which saw Pam Brant and David Dormer; and Gillian and Martin Davies win.
Pam and David have lost just over four stones between them since joining in October. Ms Brant said: "We were a bit apprehensive as we hadn't done anything like it before but needed to lose some weight for our upcoming wedding.
"We are so glad we did. Our consultant, Georgina is brilliant, so friendly and an inspiration.
" The whole group is friendly and really supportive and David and I are so happy to have lost 2 stone each already.”
