CUSTOMERS left upset and out of pocket by a coach company have been delighted by the return of its former owner.
People who lost money to Atlantis Coach Travel by booking trips and holidays which never took place visited its offices in The Arcade,Uxbridge, on Monday.
There to greet them was Symon Hoffreiter, who is back after retaking control from Nigel Glenholmes, the man who was in charge when all the problems started.
Mr Hoffreiter, who is planning to relaunch and rebrand the company, was emotional about being back in Uxbridge and said: "I have been overwhelmed by the response from everyone - it's wonderful to be back."
Kon and Doreen Reskowski, from Yiewsley, were regular Atlantis customers until Mr Glenholmes took charge and were eagerley awaiting the chance to begin booking again.
Mrs Reskowski said: "Coming back is the best thing Symon could possibly have done.
"If ever anyone was more suited to the job of looking after people and giving them a good time it is him." Mr Hoffreiter started Atlantis six years ago before family problems led to him sell to Mr Glenholmes last year.
The new company is currently trading as Symon Paul Travel.
