An artist has created abstract 3D pieces of work using wood reclaimed from the sets of television shows.

Jonas Stout, of Westville Road, Shepherd’s Bush, exhibited his latest work at Westbourne Studios in Notting Hill.

The 46-year-old, who trained at the University of East London’s school of arts, said: “I work with carpenters who create the sets for TV shows.

“They give me random bits of wood, every piece has already been cut and I work it into my piece and bring it to life. I’m very passionate about what I do.”

Some of the wood came from an MTV advert and EastEnders.

Mr Stout first exhibited his work, which includes sculpture and paintings, at the Portobello Art and Design Market in 2010.
