A 24-year-old from Twickenham has been arrested in connection with the bag of acid found under a bench at Kingston railway station in September.

Police released CCTV images following the incident on September 22, which caused chaos for commuters as the station was closed from 5-9.30pm. A man was seen running from the station after sulphuric acid started oozing out of his bag.

A spokesman for British Transport Police confirmed a man was arrested on October 21 and was bailed until mid-December.
