A man has admitted holding up a bank in Hounslow at knifepoint.

Zhao Wan appeared at Kingston Crown Court on Monday (May 5), when he pleaded guilty to armed robbery.

The 28-year-old, of Sigrist Square, Kingston, is due to be return for sentencing on June 3.

He was arrested on Saturday, February 22, 10 days after holding up Barclays bank, in High Street, Hounslow.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said at the time of the robbery that a lone man had demanded money from a cashier at the bank, before making off on foot with an unspecified amount of cash.
