A 'LETHAL' criminal caught in possession of two guns and £3,000 worth of drugs has been jailed for eight years

Richard Bryan, 26, of no fixed address, was sentenced to eight years in prison at Harrow Crown Court last month after pleading guilty to a multitude of offences.

Bryan was arrested on June 3 last year in Hunters Grove, Hayes, after police received a tip-off that a drug dealer was in the area with a weapon.

When he was stopped by firearms officers he was found to be in possession of two semi-automatic handguns with silencers, ammunition, and £3,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine.

He received five years for firearms offences, and three years on top for possession of both heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

DS Steve Murphy said: "Mr Bryan was charged with possession of two lethal weapons together with ammunition.

"This was a difficult investigation and I am pleased that Mr Bryan pleaded guilty to these serious offences.

"He has received a sentence, which is commensurate with the crimes he has committed."

Police intercepted him when a car he was a passenger in pulled away, and discovered his weapons and drug haul in the car.

DS Murphy added: "We received intelligence he had been drug dealing in the area through the evening and had a weapon on him although we certainly didn't expect to find two handguns with silencers on him."
