I was born in Fulham in 1929 and lived in Pownal Place, which was originally called Pownall Road. The road was off Lillie Road where, I believe, a number of high-rise flats have been constructed.

Pownal Place was flattened by a high explosive bomb in late 1944. Unfortunately most of our family records were destroyed.

My family have for many years been researching our history. I would like to show them where I was born.

Could any readers possibly help by finding photographs going back to the bombing in 1944, or any pictures of Pownall Road prior to 1944?
