I HAVE voted Tory all my life, as my dad always did, but I am going to break the habit of a lifetime and vote for the 'Dynamic Duo' of Ann Banks and Geoff Courtenay.
Ann and Geoff (independents) have always been there to give advice and sort out our problems. This is in great contrast to the Tory councillor, who covered the Glebe Estate and now expects to be voted for by people here in West Drayton.
My cousin had wanted advice about his rent arrears, and as soon as I told Ann about it, Geoff was around there, working out an affordable repayment plan. My cousin's rent account and credit rating are now intact, thanks to their prompt action and sound advice.
I want my councillors to be available, helpful and willing to sort out problems and issues. So, fellow Draytonians, please get off your butts on Thursday, May 6 and vote these two back in, as otherwise there will be no one when you need them - just faceless names being paid allowances out of your council tax.
