A longtime fisherman from Hanworth was caught by surprise when he reeled in his biggest haul of carp to date.
Ian Russell was beaming with pride as he slipped his net round a monster carp weighing 47lbs and two ounces as well as catching 12 other huge fish weighing in at 30lbs each.
Over two days he used 5kg of bait to keep the fish feeding which ultimately led to a successful fishing expedition.
The angler described the dream fishing trip at RK Leisures exclusive fishing venue in Horton, Berkshire as "a catch of a lifetime".
Over the years, Ian has caught many big fish including many record specimens, but nothing compared to this outing.
