‘DEDICATED’ students have done their teachers proud after earning some fantastic results.

Emlyn Lumley, who has been headteacher at the Thistlecroft Gardens school since 2009 and has seen the current crop of students through their GCSEs, said: “This is up their with our best ever results and it is down to their hard work. Some of these children cannot believe how well they have done, but I can.

“My staff and these children are amazing. They are so dedicated, work so hard we wish them the best in whatever they want to do beyond today.”

Yll Kelani, who achieved a fantastic six A*s was even fast-tracked this year onto doing an A/S level in ICT, which he got an A in.

He said: “I’m so happy, I couldn’t expect such a positive result but the school has really helped me along the way. To be honest it is like a home from home.”
