Grieving mum Amanda Holden has praised staff at West Middlesex after losing her baby at the Isleworth hospital.

The actress and Britain's Got Talent judge was seven months pregnant when she discovered she had lost her baby on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old, who also lost a baby last year, visited West Mid after the baby stopped moving and it was later stillborn.

A spokeswoman for Ms Holden and her husband Chris, who she already has a five-year-old daughter with, said: They are utterly devastated.

Amanda has been closely monitored throughout her pregnancy and it is not yet known what went wrong.

Both Chris and Amanda would like to thank the midwives and staff at The Queen Mary Maternity unit at West Middlesex Hospital, Isleworth, for their tremendous support.

Ms Holden was guest of honour at West Mid's birthing centre's 1st birthday party in November 2009.
She also joined West Mid's midwifery team in the summer of 2009 when filming for ITV show Out of my Depth.
