More than 700 people tucked into a Big Lunch at the official opening of Age UK Hounslow's new home on Sunday (June 1).

The charity moved in April from its old base at Brentford's Alexandra House to Montague Hall, in Montague Road, just off Hounslow High Street.

Having now settled in, it wanted to throw a party to celebrate the move and let more people know about the services available there from Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm.

Street dance group Alliance Dance Unit entertained visitors at the event, which was also held to mark Big Lunch, a national initiative to bring neighbours together around the dinner table or picnic mat.

Mark Sherred, of Age UK Hounslow, said: "Our Big Lunch Extravaganza was a huge success with over 700 people through the door on the day.

"Many of these where first timers to Age UK Hounslow and where really pleased to find us on their doorstep.

"We would like to thank all the volunteers and contributors for their help on the day, which wouldn't have happened without them. If you missed out on our Big Lunch, pop down to Montague Hall to see what we have on offer."
