I was very sorry to hear of the concerns of the staff of West London Action for Children following the change of name of the national charity NCH to Action for Children (F&H Chronicle, September 18).
I would like to assure the staff of West London Action for Children that their organisation is recognised very clearly in Hammersmith and Fulham for the excellent work that they undertake and the valuable support that they provide to some of the borough's more vulnerable children and families.
The council is pleased to support West London Action for Children through our grant programmes and I can reassure them that there will be no risk of confusion on our part as to which organisation is helping our children and parents to become happy and confident and participate in the community. I wish them well in their dealings with the Charity Commission in ensuring that their identity is not lost.
