Traders are breathing sighs of relief after two shoplifters were slapped with ASBOs following separate campaigns of violence and abuse.

Donna Mason was banned from all pedestrianised areas of Hounslow High Street, including the Treaty Centre, for three years.

And Kes Verma (pictured) has been ordered not to enter any shop or petrol station without cash during the same period.

Mason's ASBO (Antisocial Behaviour Order) came into effect on Wednesday following her release from a two-month stint in prison assaulting a sales assistant at Woolworths in Hounslow High Street who tried to prevent her stealing a sleeping bag.

The homeless 39-year-old been a constant menace to staff and shoppers around the Treaty Centre for many months, drinking, stealing and abusing passers-by.

Verma was handed his ASBO at Feltham Magistrates' Court on February 29 after being found guilty of being drunk and abusive to passers-by.

The 53-year-old, of no fixed abode, has a history of threatening behaviour on the streets of Heston, Cranford and Hounslow, where he would often ignore police.

• Anyone who spots Mason or Verma breaching their ASBOs is asked to call Hounslow Police on 020 8577 1212.
