People living in Brentford's Great West Quarter have received an apology after they were again left without hot water yesterday.

Residents of Trico House, Jantzen House and Lincoln House at the new development in Ealing Road say they had no hot water for about four hours yesterday afternoon.

A2Dominion, the housing association which manages the two blocks, said its staff worked quickly to fix the fault after being alerted but apologised for any inconvenience caused.

People living in the two blocks have repeatedly been left without hot water since May 2011, when hot water and heating was out for a whole month.

Although this latest outage lasted just a few hours, they are concerned it shows the problem has yet to be properly fixed.

Emanuele Sozzi, of Trico House, said: "We want an independent survey to check the status of the heating system as this should not be happening in a new building."

John Turner, A2Dominion's assistant director of property services, said: "We regret that some residents at our Great West Quarter development on Ealing Road in Brentford were without water during part of Tuesday.

"This was caused by a fault with the pump at the scheme’s central heating system which serves three buildings at the scheme, Trico House, Jantzen House and Lincoln House.

"We were alerted to the issue immediately and our repairs team attended the site within an hour.

"The fault was quickly resolved and all water services to the affected buildings resumed as normal later that evening.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to residents and thank them for their patience."
