The acting-principal of Uxbridge High School, Nigel Clemens, has heaped praise on his A-level pupils.

Youngsters at the school in The Greenway, Uxbridge, managed a 100 per cent pass rate with a 94 per cent A-E grade pass rate.

High flyers included Bhavik Patel, who got an A* in chemistry and As in mathematics and physics; Christopher Lines, who landed an A in biology with B’s in chemistry and maths; and Aalia Rehmanji, who netted an impressive five A-level passes, with As in business and chemistry, B in sociology and Cs in English and history. 

Luke Chowles, who has accepted a place at University College London to study computer science and engineering after gaining A* in mathematics, As in biology and chemistry, and Bs in geography and further mathematics, said: “I proved that it was all worth it, my self confidence is high”.
