About 35 firefighters took nearly two hours to bring a blaze at a house under control.

Six fire engines were called to the home in Novello Street, Fulham, on Friday.

The blaze broke out at about 4.45pm on Friday and was under control about 6.30pm. Fire crews from Hammersmith, Fulham, Wandsworth, North Kensington and Chelsea stations attended.

Part of the second floor and roof was damaged by the blaze and part of a neighbouring roof was also damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
