A £25,000 reward is being offered to anybody who has information about a £1.5 million jewellery burglary in Belgravia.

The victims were at home in Upper Belgrave Street watching TV at around 7pm on October 18 and didn’t realise robbers had broken in and stolen 20 pieces of very valuable jewellery.

Detectives from Westminster’s burglary squad are now appealing for help and a £25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of the robbers and the recovery of any stolen items.

The majority of the items had several diamonds in them and included a platinum diamond wedding band from Chanel, a Garrard’s marquise diamond ring, an 18 carat yellow 1975 gold horse head ivory bangle with ruby eyes and a diamond set headband and mane, a tiger eye gold link Gucci bracelet and a three-year-old David Marshall platinum ring with a blue sapphire stone surrounded by diamonds.

Several diamond rings, brooches, necklaces and earrings were stolen along with a Patek Philippe Calatrava watch engraved on the back with ‘To Terry, Happy Birthday, Love Patricia’.

DC Nick Howard, from Westminster Police, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious or who was in the area at the time and may be able to assist us. These items are very distinctive and would be immediately recognisable.

“If you have been offered any items of jewellery to purchase, either individually or as a set, or if you were in the area at the time, please contact us on 101 or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference 6546319/14.”
