A Courageous councillor is attempting to defy all odds and complete a gruelling endurance event in aid of charity.
Peter Corcoran, who represents residents in Tokyngton ward, is coming out of his town hall comfort zone to try his hand at 24 hours of non-stop walking cycling and swimming.
The intensive marathon will begin at midnight on Friday (10) and last all the way until midnight on Saturday (11).
Councillor Corcoran will be pushing his body to the extremes in aid of St Luke's Hospice, in Kenton.
"This is going to be a really tough event, but it's totally worth it," he said.
"St Luke's do great work for our community and everyone in our local area is rightly proud of the work they do. I hope that people will be able to sponsor my endurance event to help the charity continue its great work."
St Luke's Hospice serves communities in Harrow and Brent, providing a hospice care service and advice and support to families and carers.
It will be holding a roadshow at St Ann's Shopping Centre from 12-4pm on Saturday, to raise awareness and understanding of hospice care.
