A HARROW man is being hunted by police in connection with a car crash that left a 40-year-old man dead in Watford.

Police have even put up a £1,000 reward for anyone that provides information on 22-year-old Thomas O'Leary, from Carmelite Road, Harrow Weald, who is wanted in connection with the investiagtion.

Mr O'Leary, known as Tommy, is thought to have been one of three men travelling in a silver Audi which collided with a white van in Tylers Way in Watford on Saturday July 16 at around 1.20pm.

Jason Crane, from Croxley Green, was a passenger in the van and sadly passed away at the scene.

The three young men in the Audi are alleged to have left the scene on foot before emergency services arrived and are believed to have walked north along the A41 towards the roundabout with Elstree Road.

Police have now released a photograph of Mr O'Leary, who is known to have connections in the western area of Hertfordshire, including Watford and Bushey, and a cash reward of £1,000 is on offer from Crimestoppers to any member of the public who comes forward with information that helps to catch those responsible for the incident.

Senior investigating officer Inspector Andy Piper said: "If anyone knows of Thomas's whereabouts or if anyone has any information about him, I would ask you to get in contact with us as soon as possible.

"This devastating collision has robbed a man of his life and a family of a loving father and husband, and we are determined to bring those responsible to justice."

He added: "I am also still appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, who may have seen the white van and silver Audi travelling along the road, or who saw the three young men walking away from the scene, to get in contact with us as soon as possible.

"Although arrests have been made, we are still looking for people who may have been involved in the collision and need further information from members of the public to help us in our investigations."

n Five men have been arrested in connection with the investigation including a 16-year-old from Harrow, who was arrested on September 2 and has been released on bail, and an 18-year-old man from Harrow. who is due to answer police bail in November.

Meanwhile a 19-year-old man from Dunstable, Bedfordshire, has been re-bailed by police to return in December while a 45-year-old man from Watford was released on bail and is due to return in November and a 16-year-old boy from Watford is to due answer police bail in September.
