The snorkel-like iStent is just 0.33mm and is being used to lower eye pressure among sufferers of glaucoma being treated at the Western Eye Hospital.
Consultant ophthalmic surgeons and glaucoma specialists at the Marylebone hospital, Faisal Ahmed, Laura Crawley and Professor Philip Bloom have been implanting the device for over a year with positive results.
