A Greenford man accused of rape has pleaded not guilty to a number of offences including kidnap and threat to kill.

Met police had charged Aqil Ali, of Mornington Road, on March 7 earlier this year following an alleged sexual assault on a female.

The incident was alleged to have happened in the vicinity of Perivale Park, Greenford, Ealing, near the Costons Lane entrance on March 5.

But Mr Ali pleaded not guilty on Friday (June 3) at Isleworth Crown Court to two counts of rape, attempted rape, kidnap, two counts of sexual assault by penetration, sexual assault, threat to kill, assault ABH and theft.

The incident is alleged to have happened between 7am and 9am.

Mr Ali is next due to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on August 15 later this year.
