A witness appeal has was launched on Tuesday (July 5) after a woman was raped in Wembley two days earlier.

Detectives from Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are urging people to come forward after a female in her 20s was approached by a man as she was walking along the towpath from Ealing Road to Manor Farm Road, near Alperton , on Sunday (July 3) evening.

The suspect had a brief conversation with the victim in Polish before he shoved her on the ground and raped her, the Metropolitan Police said.

A diabetic mum-of-two was evicted from her social home by Ealing Council - while she was in intensive care due to her pregnancy.

Pregnant Stacey Harding was rushed to hospital in January with hyperemesis, a condition that caused her to vomit up to 60 times a day due to pregnancy.

But when she returned later that month, Miss Harding was told she had been evicted from her social housing in Slough because the council believed it had been abandoned and another homeless family were in need.
