Firefighters rescued three people after a blaze broke out at a hairdressers in Hounslow .

London Fire Brigade was called to the hair and beauty salon in Albany Parade, off Brentford High Street, on Thursday (July 28) at 1.42pm.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus led three people to safety from first and second floor flats above the hairdressers, after six people left the hairdressers before crews arrived.

The brigade sent 21 firefighters and offices in four engines from Heston , Acton and Ealing stations.

Crews spent more than 90 minutes tackling the blaze before bringing it under control at 3.17pm.

The cause of the fire, which damaged part of the ground floor of the salon, is under investigation.

On Monday (July 25) a pop-up cafe at Gunnersbury Park went up in flames following a suspected arson attack.
