The family of former QPR football player Clarke Carlisle have expressed concern for the 37-year-old's welfare after being unable to contact him.
According to a tweet by Carlisle's wife Carrie, the former defender was last known to be in Manchester City Centre at around 6am this morning.
The former defender has spoke of his issues with mental health, saying he had tried to take his own life while in his twenties, and then spending six weeks in a psychiatric unit after he was hit by a lorry in 2014.
He then launched a mental health charity called the Clarke Carlisle Foundation for Dual Diagnosis.
The father-of-three enjoyed a successful playing career, playing for a number of clubs including Leeds, Watford, Burnley and the Hoops.
A spokeswoman for Lancashire Police said they had received a report that he was "missing from home" and that they were trying to trace him.
Police have urged anyone who knows details of his whereabouts to contact them.
