Organisers of the only business awards for all of West London have seen double the number of entries as last year.

West London Business is the umbrella chamber of commerce for the western quarter of the capital.

Last year saw the inaugural West London Business Awards crown Park Royal-based Kolak snacks as best overall company.

Now the judging panel has the tricky task of sorting through the dozens of nominations to draw up a shortlist which will be announced next Friday (10).

The winners will then discover their fate at a gala dinner at the Heathrow Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, on Bath Road, Harlington, on November 27.

Members of the panel include Andrew Fullerton, Head of Design Development & Planning at BBC Commercial Projects; Ash Verma, Chairman, Gateway Asia + HIB; Emma Hindes, General Manager, Westfield London; and Nigel Milton, Director of Policy & Relations, Heathrow Airport.

Sponsors include Heathrow Airport, Uxbridge College, SEGRO, Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College, Westfield, Lloyds Bank, PWC, Brunel University and Uxbridge College. Trinity Mirror Southern, publishers of the Uxbridge Gazette, Ealing Gazette, Hounslow Chronicle, and Hammersmith & Fulham Gazette, as well as getwestlondon are also supporters, as are Radio Jackie.

The Awards were open to entries from businesses all across the region – and to all companies whether members or non-members of West London Business.

Categories include Apprentice of the Year, Food & Drink Business of the Year, Green Business of the Year and the overall winner award.
