Intu Uxbridge has welcomed a sweet new resident following the grand opening of Krispy Kreme’s newest outlet.

The kiosk-style store, which is designed like a giant Krispy Kreme box, opened on Thursday at 10am to a queue of eager fans.

Jack Piggott from Uxbridge was the first in line and won himself a coveted Krispy Kreme Gold Card after queuing up for more than four hours.

“I can’t believe I’ve won a gold card," he said.

"I’m going to be so popular each month when I cash in my double dozen - the early wake up was definitely worth it,” he added.

Not only did Jack pick up a delicious prize, but goody bags were also dished out to the first dozen people in the queue.

Alex Drysdale, Operations Director at Krispy Kreme, said “Thank you to everybody who came down to our jam-packed opening in Uxbridge.

We had been looking forward to it for a long time and reception has been fantastic – we can’t wait to welcome lots more shoppers in the coming weeks.”

On offer are 16 varieties of delicious, melt-in-the-mouth treats – from the classic Original Glazed to the decadent Nutty Chocolatta filled with smooth Nutella.
