Kings Mall shopping centre, in Hammersmith, has been sold to new owners as part of a property deal worth £153m.

The Matterhorn Palos Partnership sold the town’s prominent shopping centre, based in Kings Street, earlier this week, to Schroders UK Real Estate.

The new owner also acquired the adjoining 88,000sq-ft fully leased offices, One Lyric Square.

Kings Mall, which first opened in 1980, boasts 340,000sq-ft of “prime retail space” with over 40 outlets and eateries including Sainsbury’s, H&M, Primark and WHSmith.

Simon Conway, chief operating officer at Matterhorn Capital, said: “This deal represents the culmination of the hard work undertaken to regenerate the Kings Mall Shopping Centre and revitalise Hammersmith High Street.

“Since the Partnership took ownership, we have improved the interior and exteriors of the building and signed new leases with well known High Street retailers in the centre, which in turn has attracted a number of other big retailers to King Street and improved the commercial viability of the area.”
