An Ealing mother-of-two is delighted to have been voted in the top 100 UK 'mumpreneurs'.

Business owner Liz Pilgrim is best known for owning babye, in Ealing, which was destroyed in the riots in 2011.

After salvaging her business, which now operates as an online store only, Liz has gone on to develop her entrepreneurial spirit by launching a niche trade magazine website www.maternitybuyer.com, which connects maternity brands with maternity retail buyers.

The website has also been awarded a gold award for its design and content by Mumpreneur UK.

She has got big ambitions and is aiming to be the essential directory for the global maternity industry.

Liz said: "I am delighted to receive this award, I love what I do and it’s great receiving this recognition.

"Now that I don’t have a physical shop window, it’s easy to slip under the radar- there are so many great home-based businesses like me in Ealing and I am delighted to have won this.

"It really is proof that when you are faced with challenges, you just have to pick yourself back up and try again."

Liz is passionate about her local community and is also a member of Ealing Mums In Business, the local networking and training group run by two other local mums, Shelley Henderson and Erin Thomas-Wong, who have also been included in the Mumpreneur UK Top 100.
