A trading estate in Brentford has been shut since the early hours of Monday (October 30) as police investigate an alleged sexual assault.

Officers were called to Great West Road, Brentford, in the early hours of Monday morning.

The alleged assault took place in the nearby Phoenix Park trading estate on the junction of South Ealing road and the A4, opposite the Esso petrol station.

The alleged victim is a woman in her 20s, police said.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "A man has been arrested in connection with the alleged assault and remains in custody at a west London police station."

A police cordon remains in place around the estate and businesses, including a Screwfix store, remain closed as an investigation into the incident continues.
