A young Pinner graduate is flying the flag for Harrow in this year's Miss England 2015.

Hope Flynn, an events and marketing graduate, has made it to the Miss London semi-finals in her very first entry into a pageant.

“I have no previous experience and I am a newbie to the pageant world", the 23-year-old said. "As a follower of Miss World I am excited to meet previous and current contestants.

"It is an incredible organisation that helps to make a positive change across the world. To even qualify for Miss London is an honour.”

Part of the pageant involves fundraising for Beauty with Purpose, a charity that supports local and international organisations in aid of disadvantaged children all over the world.

Miss Flynn said: “This competition is great for encouraging and empowering young females across the world to unite and make a recognisable change.”

To be eligible to take on the Miss England crown and ultimately Miss World, Hope must first win Miss London 2015.
