AN appeal has been launched for photographs of servicemen who died in the Korean war.

The British Korean Veterans' Association hopes the families of those killed can supply pictures for a display in the hall of remembrance at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan, South Korea.

Some 800 servicemen who fought in the war are buried in the cemetery.

Anyone who wishes to take part can send a photograph to James R Grundy, 102 College Croft, Eccles, Greater Manchester M30 0AN, or call 0161 787 7743.

The association is also trying to contact former members of the armed forces who served in Korea or Japan between 1950 and 1957. Anyone interested should write to Brian Hough, 116 Fields Farm Road, Hattersley, Hyde, Cheshire SK14 3NP.
