A new collection of affordable homes is being launched this summer in Acton.

Genesis' apartments at the Factory Quarter development, in Larden Road, is a set of 22 one, two and three-bedroom flats designed for first-time buyers.

The homes are said to be a great investment with average property prices in the area increasing by 17% in the last 24 months.

Owners and managers of homes across London and the South East, Genesis also have a shared-ownership scheme which means buyers can purchase between 25% and 75% of the property, paying subsidised rent on the remainder, and can increase their share at any time, all the way up to 100% and outright ownership.

The scheme is specifically designed for first-time buyers with an annual household income of less than £71,000 for one and two-bedroom apartments or £85,000 for three-bedroom apartments, and those who live or work in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.

Anthony Harker, head of commercial at Genesis, said: “Acton and Hammersmith is growing in popularity, with a fast-moving property market and rising house prices.

"Shared-ownership is an affordable option, requiring a small deposit and small mortgage which means generally lower monthly payments.

"Factory Quarter has already seen strong demand, so we are delighted to be launching more apartments.

"With affordable homes of this standard and quality in short supply in London, we expect these to be extremely popular, so we’d urge potential purchasers to call now to avoid disappointment.”
