This week, no words of mine, can tell you in a more eloquent way about Bosun, than the words of Jackie, the manager of the National Animal Welfare Trust Rehoming Centre at Watford where Bosun is waiting for a home.

Jackie, who knows Bosun well, says “Bosun came to us from a dog pound so we have no history for this handsome chap. He is six years old and is a lovely black and tan, smooth coated small Rotty cross breed. He is a loveable chap - a nice, bouncy boy who has a great temperament and a lovely, joyful character.

"He enjoys having time off lead to run around and play fetch with a tennis ball. He also loves a boomer ball! He loves going off site for walks and is a very good boy. He walks to heel, sits at the road and listens to you if you ask him to do something. He is a very clever boy and already knows basic commands. He has been responding well to reward-based training at the Centre and would benefit from further training to keep his mind busy, once he has settled into his new home.

"He loves a scratch behind his ears and along his back, so much so, that he does a little dance with his back legs. Bosun does not look great in kennels but, once he is outside, he is a different dog. He needs a forever home where he can feel loved and wanted. He will make a brilliant companion for an active family with children aged 16 or above."
