The RSPCA Clinic at Hanwell is undergoing a transformation and we are invited to be part of it.

Thanks to an injection of enthusiasm from a visionary new manager, animal welfare officer and management team, this busy animal welfare facility is beginning a new chapter.

Plans for the Clinic include to start using, for neutering and dental work, an operating theatre which has been dormant for years and developing the work of the volunteer group who support the clinic.

It’s always good to be in at the beginning of something inspirational and this is our chance. Volunteers are needed to work in Clinic Reception, help with home checks, fundraising etc. If you are interested in becoming part of this vibrant volunteer team, contact sarah.sharp@rspca.org.uk. As the clinic needs to raise the money itself to pay for the changes, the more help we give, the better the clinic will be.

As part of the relaunch, the RSPCA is inviting us to a Tea Party and Cat Rehoming Day at the Clinic on Sunday August 17 (12pm – 3pm). Also invited to the Tea Party will be 15 cats who need homes. As well as meeting these important feline guests, there will be stalls, competitions and an opportunity to see for ourselves what needs to be done.

Although he doesn’t know it yet, Baxter is one of the cats invited to the party. Baxter came into the care of the RSPCA as a stray. From his joyful response to people, the RSPCA assume that, at some point in his life, he has had a loving home. He loves to be stroked and is the sort of cat who will greet you at the door to say hello.

If you would like to home this beautiful boy, contact 07808 789385 or rspca.ealing@gmail.com or meet him at the Tea Party on August 17. The Clinic is at 48, Uxbridge Rd, Hanwell W7 3PP.
