Don't be surprised if the bar staff are hamming it up a bit next time you order a pint at the Red Lion.

They're probably preparing for the pub's annual pantomime this January when they'll team up with regulars to perform Wick Dittington, a humorous take on the old favourite.

The Red Lion's a pub of two halves, with one bar featuring live sports for the younger crowd and another where serious real ale drinkers can enjoy live entertainment.

The historic inn also boasts a large beer garden with a heated smoking area.

There's no dress code but drinkers might want to make an effort to impress manager Louisa Andrews, who's a former buyer for Tie Rack.
