If you often struggle to find your way home after a night in the pub, then The General Roy, in Feltham, may be just the place for you.
Its walls are decorated with maps originally designed by its namesake, 17th-Century cartographer General William Roy.
Owner Nick Apps said: "We're named after the general who invented the Ordnance survey map and we have a few he did up on the walls.
"He's part of the local military history and even mapped a fair amount of the Hounslow and Feltham area."
Back in the 21st Century, Nick describes his pub as a warm, safe and welcoming place to stop for a drink.
During lunchtimes The General Roy buzzes with workers from the nearby Feltham Brook Industrial Estate. In the evenings regulars flock to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and large garden.
"It's definitely the nicest pub I've worked in," said Nick, who is originally from Essex.
