Katie Waissel will be a name to get to know this summer, as the singer from Harefield has just entered the Celebrity Big Brother House for the 2016 series.

Waissel, 30, is best known for her dramatic stint on ITV's The X-Factor , but has always wanted to be famous and first hit screens on online reality show called Green Eyed World.

The programme focused on her attempts in America and Europe to get signed to a record label.

Following her role on Green Eyed World, she auditioned for the X-Factor and managed to get to the final 12 contestants and progress to the live shows.

Waissel found herself in the bottom two FOUR times and was eventually eliminated in week eight, finishing seventh overall.

Following the X-Factor, Waissel released her self-titled debut album on Chamberlain Records, and performed the song The Ugly Truth on The Alan Titchmarsh Show and the Late Late Show.

Waissel is married to comedian and host of The Bert Show, Brian Moote. This is her second marriage after splitting from first husband Brad Alphonso in 2012.

Katie was well known for being lively and dramatic during her X-Factor stint, so keep an eye on her appearance in Celebrity Big Brother to see how she reacts to the other contestants.

Others in the house this year include Christopher Biggins, Chloe Khan, and Sam Fox along with 11 other celebrities.
