Auction House London has sold the highest number of properties in one session at the largest ever sale in its history.

It broke two of its own records with 69 properties out of 81 selling, raising £14.6m at its auction at the Everyman Cinema, Belsize Park, on February 26.

The ground rent on a house in Mount Park Road, Ealing, was offered with a starting guide price of £8,000 but sold for more than five-times this figure at £40,500.

Auction House London Managing Director Andrew Binstock said: “This is a spectacular result. Investors are out in force, paying good money for safe investments. Properties already providing an income are commanding a premium and there’s some good stock coming into our auction room.

“People genuinely love income and love properties which provide safe easy to let investments even more. London and Surrey based buyers are driving the market hard at the moment and it’s a good time to sell.”

The next sale for Auction House London takes place on April 15 at the Everyman Cinema, Belsize Park.
