Revellers have been warned to beware "bogus security guards" after a woman's coat was reportedly stolen by a man pretending to be a bouncer in an Ealing nightlclub.

Ealing Metropolitan Police Service announced on Twitter that there were reports of a theft at Karma Ealing Night Club in High Street, Ealing Broadway, on Friday (February 19).

Officers said the coat was stolen by a "bogus security guard" who took a woman's coat under false pretences at around 11.19pm.

Police said they believe the coat has now been returned. No arrests have been made.

Karma Ealing Nightclub were unavailable for comment.

The club features three bars, a mezzanine and a VIP area.
