HELP light up your town and kick start the festive season at the grand Northwood Hills Big Switch-on.

The popular community event will see Joel Street packed out with families enjoying carols and festive songs from nearby schools, free mulled wine and mince pies and the main event – the street lights and Christmas tree being turned on.

Pupils from St John’s, Haydon, Harlyn, Hillside and Northwood schools will perform outside the Namaste Lounge and, for the first year, children can take part in a treasure hunt with the help of a Jack Sparrow character.

There will also be a big raffle with plenty of brilliant prizes.

The event starts at 4pm on Saturday and the Mayor of Hillingdon, councillor Allan Kauffman, will flick the switch at 4.30pm.
