An Ealing man who was found guilty of several counts of gross indecency with a child had his sentencing adjourned on Friday (Dec 11) due to ill health.

Robin Wheatley, 73, of Hicks Avenue, Greenford, was convicted on November 13 at Isleworth Crown Court of seven counts of gross indecency with a child and two counts of indecent assault.

The indecent assault convictions relate to one incident with a male, and two with a female.

Wheatley was due for sentencing on Friday (Dec 11) at Isleworth Crown Court, but the case was adjourned to January 22 due to his ill-health.

During his trial, Wheatley was declared unfit to plea due to ill health.
